  1. evocative pictures; i wonder what kind of conifers those are? most of ours are western red cedar, douglas fir, pacific white fir, alder, maple, vine maple, a bit of alaska cedar... we lost a couple of smaller alder in the last windstorm...

    1. I think the bulk of the trees in this forest are Sitka spruce with some Norway pine, Douglas Fir, Scots pine, Lodgepole pine, and a few others - rowan, birch, oak, etc :)
